Client Spotlight: Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce

How one Salisbury organization is leveraging technology to promote growth for hundreds of businesses across the Eastern Shore

Seated in the heart of the Delmarva Peninsula, Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce has become the regional hub for economic development on Maryland’s Eastern Shore—helping promote growth for eight hundred local businesses in over eighty industry sectors since 1920.

Known throughout Delmarva as a pillar in the business community for connecting like-minded leaders dedicated to promoting economic growth throughout the Salisbury area, the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce has become one of the most sought after business chambers in the region. With such a large and growing membership base, Bill Chambers, President & CEO, knew the importance that technology would be to delivering the unparalleled service that members have grown to expect from the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce.

In 2013, the organization sought to consolidate the amount of vendors that they were using for their business technology. After experiencing a fair share of frustrating and unpredictable issues, like frequent downtime and a rising technology budget, the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce knew it was time to seek out a trusted technology partner to help get their business technology working at optimal efficiency.

For the last six years, IMPACT Technology Group has become that trusted technology partner for the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce. With the stabilIT suite, the Salisbury Area Chamber has removed their frustrating barriers of technology —and IMPACT serves as a trusted partner to guide them as their organization’s membership base continues to grow.

Founded in 1920, the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce delivers the substantial benefit of being present and visible through networking, as it assists in building connections throughout our community. The 501(c)6 organization is dedicated to strengthening, broadening and fortifying members business strategies, relationships, and commerce through their three pillars: Education, Connection, and Advocacy.
